Freetards come back, all is forgiven

Windows 10 already felt on release like an OS from an alternative-reality dystopia, the anniversary update makes it even “better”.

As everyone knows, Microsoft tightened the screws and removed some group policy settings in the Pro version which were there to control ads (“recommendations”) and the lock-screen (other, more pricey versions, still have that control however):

http://www.infoworld.com/article/3101947/microsoft-windows/more-forced-advertising-creeps-into-windows-10-pro.html

Removing these options is bad enough, the the real kicker is the following page from Microsoft:

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/itpro/windows/manage/manage-tips-and-suggestions

OH SHIT!

Sure, there are still ways to circumvent that stuff by other means, but that “NO” means that Windows 10 Pro Edition (the only higher-tier version without the need for a contract with MS itself) just got an forced DOWNGRADE!

The feature to control this stuff through group policy was an official feature in Windows 10 Pro just yesterday, but now, it’s gone!

It doesn’t matter that there are still some ways to achieve the same resullts – the feature itself shouldn’t be there anymore according to MS. That’s the true kicker. By referring to that page, they could deactivate the cmdlets and other means to script the removal of ads/app recommendations with another series of patches.

That’s the true kick in the balls of Windows 10’s “service” model: It’s only servicing Microsoft. Windows 10 is an OS that can actively work against your interests, in case your interests don’t align with Microsoft’s. They can take away stuff at whim now, downgrade whole editions and your only way to escape is deactivate the updater service entirely, but then  you’re at risk falling victim to other cyber criminals. Tough luck.

To further insult the customers, Windows 10 Pro isn’t free anymore in any case. If it were  completely free of cost every time, well.. you get what you pay for. But getting such a treatment over a paid product is truly the icing on the cake.

I used to laugh at the freetards regarding their paranoia, but some of those crazy mid 90s Linux newsgroup posts are too close to home now, which is quite incredible.

It’s not paranoia anymore when you see a forced downgrades gleefully announced on the respective websites.

  1. I was thinking to mention female active positions as exceptions, but then forgot to. I am also aware that wikipedia has a copious male rape article.

  2. It’s not just positions, women can do a lot with a vagina even in vanilla missionary.

  3. Does Ryan Madison ever fuck ugly chicks?

His wife, maybe? I don’t know.

  4. Gay men better positions.

  5. Lesbians do it better.

  6. ever heard of a straight guy who had to close his eyes and take it

Of course I did. Lots of fed-up husbands out there who have to climb their mountain, pretending it’s someone else and are delighted after the ordeal is finally over every time.

  7. In other news:

    Yahoo is finally dead.

    https://qz.com/881851/altaba-is-the-perfect-name-for-what-has-become-of-yahoo-yhoo-after-ceo-marissa-mayers-failed-turnaround/

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-4103844/The-end-Yahoo-Marissa-Mayer-resign-firm-change-Altaba-3-9bn-Verizon-takeover-gets-ahead.html

Mayer, along with Yahoo cofounder David Filo and four other members of the board will step down after the deal closes, Yahoo said.
Verizon is acquiring Yahoo’s operating business under the proposed transaction, while Yahoo’s remaining business, which consists primarily of its stake in Chinese ecommerce giant Alibaba and its partnership in Yahoo Japan, will continue to exist as a separate company.

The board resignations announced on Monday refer to the remaining investment company that’s not going to Verizon, and which will be renamed ‘Altaba,’ the company said.

I don’t blame Mayer – Yahoo was unsalvagable by the time she came on board. The real dumbfuck was Jerry Yang when he declined the Microsoft deal.

It was stupid for MS, but that deal was God’s gift to Yahoo. 45 billion dollars for a web-corpse. Unbelievable.

Jerry Yang must go in history as the most incompetent dumb fuck CEO of all time. I think he declined the offer due (back then) ebil M$ freetard sentiment. What a tool.

  8. I think a lot of people knew that Mayer would suck independent of Yahoo’s bleak prospects, but did anyone really expect her to suck this hard? Were Yahoo healthy she’d probably pass Carly Fiorina on the worst CEO lists.

But, yeah, Yang refusing the deal was the end. You didn’t even need a crystal ball. It was immediately obvious.

  9. But have you ever heard of a straight guy who had to close his eyes and take it. You didn’t, because it’s not how biology works.

    First of all, I did.

And You’re on the road of pussy-whippance. You really are.

Passive humiliated vaginas, with their eyes closed in shame…

You are on a total guilt-trip. This is the member-ship card to club “fishermen”.

    And regarding, biology… again:

When a woman has relations with a man, she would like, as much as possible, to be lying with another man at the same time. Woman knows nothing about fidelity. Believe me, if you give her your trust, you will be disappointed. Trust an experienced teacher. .. What she cannot get, she seeks to obtain through lying and diabolical deceptions. And so, to put it briefly, one must be on one’s guard with every woman, as if she were a poisonous snake and the horned devil. If I could say what I know about women, the world would be astonished … Woman is strictly speaking not cleverer but slyer (more cunning) than man. Cleverness sounds like something good, slyness sounds like something evil. Thus in evil and perverse doings woman is cleverer, that is, slyer, than man.

    -St. Albertus Magnus (13th Century)

And I have found a woman more bitter than death, who is the hunter’s snare, and her heart is a net, and her hands are bands. He that pleaseth God shall escape from her; but he that is a sinner shall be caught by her. More bitter than death, that is, than the devil: Apocalypse vi, 8, His name was Death. For though the devil tempted Eve to sin, yet Eve seduced Adam.

More bitter than death, again, because that is natural and destroys only the body; but the sin which arose from woman destroys the soul by depriving it of grace, and delivers the body up to the punishment of sin.

More bitter than death, again, because bodily death is an open and terrible enemy, but woman is a wheedling and secret enemy

And when it is said that her heart is a net, it speaks of the inscrutable malice which reigns in their hearts.

    -Heinrich Kramer (15th Century)

“Woman is a temple built upon a sewer.”

    Boethius (6th Century)

Now, I don’t condone these quotes, because there is some real misogyny in them (unless all the faux-outrage today over Trump and the like), but it’s absolutely noteworthy than the notion that women is a victim of sex in any kind is COMPLETELY FUCKING ABSENT here. The thought never seems to cross their minds at all. In fact, the woman is the perpetrator, who humilates and degrades men sexually. In complete opposite to your current thoughts.

Yet is your biology and genitalia different than those of these learned men in the past? Something to ponder on.

The fetish over biology and evo-psych in the manosphere is misguided IMHO. I am not saying everything is a social construct, but the opposite, “everything is evo-psych” is a folly also. Because you can construct everything through biology too at the end of the day. Creativity is the limit. It’s really not the be-it-all, end-it-all to understand human condition in my opinion.

Current line of thinking of PUAs and the like is that naturally, man is the promiscious superman, spreading his sperm, while his submissive monogamous wifey clings to him for protection, and is of course far more passive and victimey bla bla bla. And the reason they are “out of control now”, is due ebil feminism of course.

But I can just as easily say that the natural state of woman is that of a insatiable cock-slut (the line of thinking of the guys quoted above), because fucking around with the whole town increases the chance that the biologically best (most fertile etc.) sperm donor impregnates her, and thus the best possible offspring can be born. Pre-DNA testing, her man wasn’t able control whether it’s his child anyway.

    See, it’s that easy.

Another one: It’s no secret that boys fall behind in schools, compared to girls in recent decades. Lots of manosphere dumbfucks came up with the evo-psych explanation that it’s because boys can’t romp around in school anymore, “have to behave passively like girls in class”, and that’s why they fall behind.

Yet they completely fucking ignore the fact that school used to be far more strict in the past! Does corporal punishment ring a bell?

How the fuck can you “forget” this?!

If a child would behave “boy-ily” like these idiots propose, in a 19th century school, he/she wouldn’t be able to sit for two days straight afterwards. And despite this, boys did great.

And so their simple evo-psych brainfarts fall completely apart once again. It’s woefully inadequate, because they always construct these stories (at the end of the day, it’s just that) around the wishful-thinking notion of “women are naturally pure” (calm, non-aggressive etc etc.), and it got all wrecked up in the last 80 years or so, and only because “feminism” of course.

I find it funny that this garbage is called “red pill” nowadays. Books hundreds of years ago contain so much true red pill in comparison, they make your brain explode.

  10. Now, I don’t condone these quotes, because there is some real misogyny in them

Not worse than a Solanas/Dworkin/Greer tome on men though.

What these quotes show though, is less the misogyny, but that women, and their possible deeds, were taken seriously by these men.

They viewed them as capable players on the field.

Speaking of PUAs, Roosh, some of later-day MRAs and stuff, they don’t take women seriously. If you read their material, it mostly comes from the “it’s just a woman, lol” school of deception. i.e.: a woman is always more harmless than a man at the end of the day, just corrupted by feminists, cultural marxists, SJWs or whatever, show enough “dominance” and she will melt away, they are by nature also less deviant, genuinely friendlier and so on.

In this light, centuries old statements like “in evil and perverse doings woman is cleverer, that is, slyer, than man” is of course a complete anti-dot to “just a harmless girl, lol”-thinking.

  11. I think a lot of people knew that Mayer would suck independent of Yahoo’s bleak prospects, but did anyone really expect her to suck this hard? Were Yahoo healthy she’d probably pass Carly Fiorina on the worst CEO lists.

Don’t think she was particulary bad. It was an impossible task for anyone.

  12. Oh, noes:

    http://betanews.com/2017/01/09/gartner-windows-10-is-on-its-way-down-grim-forecast-for-the-next-three-years/

Gartner has a grim prediction for Microsoft which is pinning its hopes on Windows 10 and the forthcoming Creators Update. According to the research firm, Windows will lose OS share in 2017, and then flatline for at least the next two years.

In other news, more W10 backtracking:

    http://betanews.com/2017/01/10/windows-10-privacy-changes/

Microsoft makes big privacy changes to Windows 10 in a bid to win back user trust

Basically, they just re-organized their privacy settings, but still. W10 isn’t as hot as they thought obviously.

Consumers seem to be a tad smarter than expected.

  13. Don’t think she was particulary bad.

Gender quotas, covered up the world’s largest data breech for two years, she certainly didn’t add any value.

  14. I am pretty sure she didn’t care whatsoever about Yahoo in any way or form and just racked the juicy CEO money in. I would do the same with a hopeless endeavor like 2012 Yahoo to be honest.

That thing was a zombie by that point for over a decade.

Granted, I wouldn’t bother with gender quotas. Just with the cash.

  15. They should have set up a patreon and claimed they had PTSD and were no longer male or female. It works for people and corporations are people, right?

  16. Poor Zoe. Always Oppressed.

Her story, and the above post about school (By the way, I hated school-sport, more sport would be the absolute last thing I would have wanted.) reminded me of a day that’s pretty fitting.

Now, I told here already her how fem-crazy Germany is. So that was in the 1990s, the country was maybe even more fem-oppression-crazy than today and I was 13 years old.

That was right after the Dutroux case got public, and the first child-porn findings on the internet got media attention. So atmosphere was a bit weird in general, and loaded.

Our music/biology teacher storms the class, with a brochure in her hand and proclaims that “EVERY THIRD GIRL IS RAPED!”

“HERE YOU HAVE A MATH-LESSON: BASED ON THIS STATISTIC, CALCULATE HOW MANY GIRLS IN THIS CLASS WERE PROBABLY MOLESTED”.

    No joke.

“ALL MEN ARE POTENTIAL RAPISTS, GIRLS WATCH OUT!”

I knew her talk is bullshit, especially the limitation to girls only (knew it happened to boys, too), but I wanted no trouble and stayed silent.

I got that sinking feeling almost immediately. In a few years, I will be a potential rapist as well. Pretty much all other boys in class had that stunned look, the girls weren’t particulary enthusiastic as well.

I felt like total crap after that lesson.

Imagine for a second a male teacher would storm into a class, and starts quoting that witches-book for example, about how all women are evil murderous whores – potentially, of course. The next day he would be collecting welfare-checks.

She also asked the girls to report about their “experiences”. No one had a story to tell, except for a girl who told how her friend (who was in another class) once got a strange look from a construction worker.

Teacher: “SEE: SEXUAL VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS IS EVERYWHERE!”

My memories about day-to-day school are pretty hazy, but I can remember that school-hour like it happened yesterday. Which speaks volumes I guess.

Pretty sure her brochure was from “Wildwasser”. There are two main child-sexual-abuse counselling outlets in Germany, “Wildwasser” and “Zartbitter”. Zartbitter are non-ideologues who help children regardless of their gender, Wildwasser is (or was – I think they towned it a bit down in the last years) for girls only. And not only that, it’s for girls who were victims of men, i.e: that organization was so absurdly gendered, that the abuser had to be the right sex too; girls abused by their mothers for example had no place there. Now, it’s not strictly forbidden to be an inhumane sexist asshole, but unfortunately, that organization was the most influential one in this area: It got the majority of state funding, and printed the brochures for schools and so on. I am pretty sure our class wasn’t the only one who went through a “POTENTIAL RAPISTS” info-hour.

    Muh patriarchy.

  17. Yang-shilling:

    http://www.forbes.com/global/2012/0213/investing-yahoo-defense-jerry-yang-eric-jackson.html

    Nice rewriting of history there.

However, that wasn’t the conventional wisdom at the time. In fact, before Microsoft pulled its offer in May, I don’t recall anyone other than me saying that Yahoo needed to take this offer right then. In fact most pundits and media thought it was smart to hold out for a higher offer because Microsoft “needed” Yahoo.

    Pfft.

What no one saw coming was Steve Ballmer pulling Microsoft’s offer.

Bullshit. They were willing to pay 45 billion or so. That alone was CRAZY already. With every single cent more it became crazier and crazier.

Any guy who starts a company that becomes a pioneer for a hugely important space (the Web) and grows it to be a $20 billion company with 700 million monthly uniques has my respect. We think of Marc Andreessen as some kind of grandfather of Silicon Valley, but his résumé pales compared with Yang’s. Marc was there at the start and helped launch a browser that was an important product, but it never made money and was later ignominiously sold to AOL and was last seen a decade ago. Since then Marc scattered his money around in a bunch of angel and venture capital deals, but what have they done? Ning? Opsware? It got bailed out by HP so the company could have some of Marc’s fairy dust on its dysfunctional board to give it more Valley bona fides.

Yeah, Yahoo did well for a few years after launch, but that’s it though. Netscape was by far more “important” during its run than Yahoo was. Netscape vanishing before IE4 would have rocked the tech world, Yahoo vanishing? Not so much: Excite, Lycos, Altavista…

If Yang wanted to, he could invest a bunch of his money in the secondary market in every tech company in the Valley, too—but he probably won’t. All these hot tech companies that have been the toast of the Valley over the years were all gnats on the back of the elephant that was Yahoo.

    More fake hero-worship.

Yahoo has retained its users in spite of its board and its inaction. Just imagine now if it gets its act together under new CEO Scott Thompson. The users are all there—waiting. How many companies get the chance to flail around for six years and then get a second kick at the can?

It’s not exactly a compliment when a company fucks it up all the time, despite apparently some users being loyal (which ones? the e-mail accounts?)

Amidst all the hero worship they forgot the fact how Yahoo, and all the other search engines, lost it all to Google within 12 months or so: Overloaded portals during the reign of dial-up!

Everyone hated the portal transformation. They were as popular as Windows 8 on launch. Yet they kept going with them, even when Google was already eating their lunch. They ditched the portals only after complete decimation was already done.

    That’s tech-heroes for you.

  18. once got a strange look from a construction worker.

I love how it’s always construction workers. If anyone is owed a collective defamation lawsuit, it’s them. Also, it’s quite possible for “strange look” to translate to, “What a pleasant looking young lady. My eyes are naturally drawn to her. Oh, wait a minute, I’m staring. Better get back to work.”

girls abused by their mothers for example had no place there

If Erin Pizzey is to be believed, women’s shelters are (or were) basically lesbian indoctrination centers with a vulnerable captive audience. That’s not “rape” though.

  19. I don’t recall anyone other than me saying that Yahoo needed to take this offer right then.

Pffft indeed. Who wasn’t saying that? Yahoo was dead in the water as far back as 1998. Google had a powerful and relevant search engine and Yahoo was still struggling with dead links and basic crawling.

We think of Marc Andreessen as some kind of grandfather of Silicon Valley, but his résumé pales compared with Yang’s.

Disagree. It’s true the revenue doesn’t match up but Andreessen made more of an impact. It’s like saying Tim Berners-Lee didn’t do shit because he’s not a billionaire. Yahoo just wasn’t sufficiently different from competitors, and it didn’t invent anything. It just happened to be the best positioned at a time when a bubble was building. It could just as easily been Lycos or Webcrawler. The technology wasn’t much different.

People constantly seek consultation with Andreessen. If anyone talks to Yang, they’re probably wondering what not to do. Yang’s biggest contribution to Yahoo was getting on the ground floor of Alibaba due to his Chinese connections. It’s literally the only thing Yahoo has of value. The rest is worse than dead weight.

Overloaded portals during the reign of dial-up! […] Everyone hated the portal transformation.

This can’t be understated. The clean, simple interface was probably lauded even more than the fact that Google actually worked while competitors had dead links and nonsensical rankings.

  20. Yahoo was dead in the water as far back as 1998. Google had a powerful and relevant search engine and Yahoo was still struggling with dead links and basic crawling

Google actually worked while competitors had dead links and nonsensical rankings.

Back then, the most WTF part about Yahoo search was that sometimes some of the results would be other search engines gaming Yahoo’s ranking to advertise themselves for free in the front page.

Honestly, I cannot tell what Yahoo could have done to reverse its fate. They couldn’t compete with the brainiacs of Google in search, and their portal became the place n00bs go before they learn how this internets thing works (btw, was the first page I ever visited) and wanted the familiarity of a newspaper-like medium. With search a lost game, could Yahoo ever become something similar to reddit instead of being a n00bs starting point? I highly doubt it.

Which leaves what? What could they do in the turn of the millennium to stay relevant?

  21. Buy a bunch of shit like AOL but try not to make themselves a software graveyard, like AOL.

  22. They could have made their existing services suck less rather than more. Their chatrooms come to mind, they went from human moderated to flooded with spam bots and prostitutes before they dropped the web login altogether.

  23. I can’t tell you whether they should have eliminated Yahoo Answers or done more with it.

  24. BoltmanShills

Poor Microsoft, why is everyone so mean to them:

    http://www.reuters.com/article/us-microsoft-swiss-idUSKBN14V1RP

Yet Google and Apple get away with EVERYTHING. Argh, so unfair.

  25. Jesus, all that Russian hacking.

They are now saying the hacks “destroyed” Hillary’s electability. Are they still talking about those Podesta e-mails when they say all that?!

  26. All this butthurt over Trump is unreal.

I would get all the media tears if he would some Barry Goldwater type, but this guy?

That’s the “big bad” they are hating so much?

I am not that into conspiracy stuff, but you gotta-wonder here… all the extreme outrage. it’s like Hillary was destined to win, and something went wrong. Like someone at a Bilderberg-meeting didn’t held his promise (maybe Trump himself), and thus it all turned out wrong and not like planned. Big accident. Huge “not supposed to happen!”-outrage.

  27. Are they still talking about those Podesta e-mails when they say all that?!

Yes. CNN shows election ballots being carried away by employees with a headline of “Russia Hacks Election” and what they’re referring to is Podesta putting his username and password into a website with a URL like whitehousephishing.ru.

  28. They are now saying the hacks “destroyed” Hillary’s electability. Are they still talking about those Podesta e-mails when they say all that?!

Which begs the question: Since nobody from the Dems questioned the authenticity of the information, which means it’s probably valid information, isn’t it a good thing that the public became aware of that information? It’s called transparency.

it’s like Hillary was destined to win, and something went wrong. Like someone at a Bilderberg-meeting didn’t held his promise (maybe Trump himself), and thus it all turned out wrong and not like planned. Big accident. Huge “not supposed to happen!”-outrage.

    QTF.

After all, Trump used to hold hands with Hilary a decade ago. My guess is that Trump realised that Soros, the Clinton and the like are part of the so called “international elites”, which have no allegiance to any country and their main modus operandi is to screw up a country (aka destroy the income of the middle class and convert the middle class into a mob of welfare-seekers) and then move to the next country to do the same. Which is why all those international elites have almost no physical property in any country but instead they only have bank accounts and stocks they move around. Trump woke up one day realised that he is a real estate developer and that his resort and casino operations rely on a thriving middle class to not go bankrupt, and decided to part ways from Soros and the Clintons. He would make a great comic book anti-hero that’s for sure.

  29. Bhahaha. Back in Europe the word middle class is a dirty word denoting fake borgoise values. In America it’s codeword for anyone who doesnt pawn their grandma’s jewerly to pay the rent. The real middle class- laywers, doctors and professionals aren’t afraid of outsourcing of the toy factory. The bread and circuses of the Democrats are useless to someone who has disposable income. The affluent vote Democrat out of “compassion”. As a matter of fact the professional class in America got wealthier under the Great Recession, while the poor multiplied. The myth that urbanites are living in ever sqeezing poverty is a crock, especily since young whites don’t have children.

  30. Yeah, but you’ll say anything your Domme tells you to.

I don’t know what you mean by “middle class” I mean the average guy working a blue-collar job who is afraid of the outsourcing of the toy factory. Want to call the lower-middle-class? No problem.

The elites of Davos really underestimated that guy.

  32. Which begs the question: Since nobody from the Dems questioned the authenticity of the information, which means it’s probably valid information, isn’t it a good thing that the public became aware of that information? It’s called transparency.

I think the undercurrent is that Trump has scandals as well, it’s just that the Russian hackers didn’t publish it.

Of course, the implication is that everyone’s corrupt, which begs the question why are they being upset at all over who wins and keep going with the haxor stuff.

  33. EVEN MORE BUTTHURT

The above picture is from the Scottish “Sunday Herald TV Guide”.

This is from the German “TV Spielfilm” TV Guide (I guess every TV guide in Europe is doing this stunt now):

    https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=de&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=de&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tvspielfilm.de%2Ftv-programm%2Fsendung%2Fdonald-trump-amerikas-neuer-praesident%2C584696d3f033af3525e7edbc.html&edit-text=

Donald Trump – America’s new president

Political satire. Ruple [bully] billionaire becomes US president

    Today 17:15 – 18:50 [5:15 PM – 6:50 PM]

The introduction of the new US president – reporting, 95 min.

A vulgar, chauvinist billionaire with a grotesque Föhnwelle [ridiculous hair] wants to stand for the Republicans. Against all probability, the arch-conservative builder [real estate tycoon] wins the party’s election campaign and goes into the seemingly hopeless election campaign against an experienced politician of the Democrats. His strategy: to shamelessly brand [her] as criminal. During his tasteless, pompous introduction to the country, where only a few down-to-earth country singers want to come, we look back at his krawing election campaign: Although, or precisely because the billionaire injures all the rules of decency, against women and Muslims, [promising] a wall (!) Against Mexican immigrants and [his] sexual harassment [against women], he pulls out of his golden tower into the White House …

Politically incorrect grotesque, where the laughter is stuck in our throats. The main figure is clearly inspired by President Camacho from “Idiocracy” and Zaphod Beeblebrox, the president of the galaxy from “A Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”.

  34. I like the Trump election for one reason: It is a warning shot by the people to the elites. It can be roughly translated to: “If you keep outsourcing jobs to China, hence forcing a race to the bottom where Chinese working conditions and pay are the norm, if you keep creating bubbles in the economy by supplying lots of credit and then pulling it, and if you keep importing savages from Deep Islam countries who think Sharia law is above the actual law to our countries, we ‘ll vote for the person you hate most”. The parallels with Brexit and the Le Pen candidacy (who is doing much better than expected in the polls) are obvious. You can rest assured the warning shot has been heard and that it is going to be a gloomy meeting in Davos this year. All those elites will think twice before shafting the common man anymore. Or at least stop think CNN and Robert Downey Jr doing political videos offer any kind of protection against the common man.

  35. I am looking forward to John Oliver & co pumping out the “How could 2017 be even worse than 2016?!?!??!” videos. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a media shakeup this year. Like in sports when they fire the coach/manager when it’s really the owners putting together a shitty team, figureheads like Rachel Maddow and Anderson Cooper are probably on the chopping block. There’s also no way all these progressive late night shows survive in an era where no millennial owns a TV. I’m predicting Colbert is the first to go. Fallon and O’Brien are safe because they do actual jokes on their shows. Whether you like them or not, they’re the only ones not doing 60 straight minutes of Trump bashing every single night.

  36. Illegal immigrant liberals are cry babies

  37. The faces of tolerance.

  38. ” The faces of tolerance.”

The faces of “Whaaa! All those people who studied in while I partied won’t pay for my entitlements and my Gender Studies college debt, and now I have to get a real job.”

  39. That Exploit Guy

Lugenpresse! Fake news! How stupid does one have to be to confuse Trump and Bane?

One is a conniving manipulator paying lip service to a populist uprising while pushing forward an agenda of his own, and the other is Bane.

Why can’t the main-SJeW media just stick to sucking up to their precious snowflake Marvel crap?

By the way, it’s nice to see this place still stinking up the Internet with the same ol’ manospheric whinging about women being too smart to put out for MRA/MGTOW/RP/PUA/”nice guy” creepshows. Where else am I supposed to go and receive my daily dose of IQ reduction otherwise? 😆

  40. ” One is a conniving manipulator paying lip service to a populist uprising while pushing forward an agenda of his own ”

Boy, was that correct. Enjoy it while it lasts Trumpies, because Trump will sell out soon. He is Trump after all, a renowned con artist. I would like it if Trump made nationalism cool again, but it ain’t gonna happen. He is just telling you what you want to hear Trumpies.

  41. Oh good, TEG is still butt hurt. I was worried he’d found Preparation H.

  42. ” Oh good, TEG is still butt hurt. I was worried he’d found Preparation H. ”

Being the elitist globalist twat he is, he wants his smartphone to be made by overworked Chinese Foxconn workers with no rights while domestic workers stay unemployed, because it makes his smartphone $50 cheaper or so. How dare those manual-labour workers vote according to their interest instead of listening to people like Robert Downey Junior and Mark Zuckerberg whose interests are opposite of theirs.

The butthurt is strong in him.

  43. He’s an honorary man hating dyke with an agenda of rage.

There is no justice where there is “gender.” Gender is the thing that naturalizes women’s oppression and men’s domination under patriarchy. If we are to be “free from gender norms, expectations, and stereotypes,” we must get rid of gender itself — that is, the notions of “masculinity” and “femininity.” The document erases biological sex and the sex class hierarchy enforced through patriarchy, lightening and neutralizing the blow by pretending as though there isn’t a particular class of people who are born into a position of power in our society (i.e. males). Based on this mealy-mouthed interpretation of patriarchy, it perhaps won’t come as a surprise that not once in the entire document is patriarchy itself named.

This is unnecessary. We can (and indeed must) name the problem and need not cater to those who wish to feel “political,” somehow, without actually saying anything controversial or directly challenging the status quo.

Of course, he’ll be gassed in the first purge.

  44. That Exploit Guy

    I was worried he’d found Preparation H.

Peculiar. Could someone here tell me again who was the one sold on the empty promise to “drain the swarm” or “lock her up”?

Trump couldn’t have backpedalled faster if you’d made him go downhill with his buttcheeks pointing forwards at Le Tour de France, but such is just one of the many harsh lessons for those foolishly believing that voting for a presidential candidate and rooting for a football team are the same activity.

I would like it if Trump made nationalism cool again

I would agree with everything you said in your comment if you weren’t just another flag-waving simpleton ready to be exploited by the next demagogue seeking selfish benefits. Good thing I have been pretty used to lowering my expectations when visiting this garbage fire of a blog.

The last time you Yanks farted around with nationalism, thousands of your soldiers were getting blown to bits looking for imaginary WMDs while rich business types were making a killing with Middle-Eastern oil. Again, I couldn’t care less if you decided to walk around in public coated in your own faeces, but it would at least be courteous of you if you would leave the rest of the world out of your inane nonsense.

Ahh… The illusion that nationalism is the same with imperialism, and that Trump’s nationalist proposal has anything to do with Bush’s imperialist one.

  46. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a media shakeup this year.

I wonder what will happen to Alex Jones and lots of other “alternative media”.

Their trademark was the anti-government stance (Bush & Obama), but this time they cheered Trump on and he won. They basically gave up their bread and butter.

In the grand scheme of things, out of all the available options, I am in favor of Trump, but how Alex Jones and friends will react now makes me really curious.

I would like it if Trump made nationalism cool again

It’s not the nationalism or alt-right stuff why I am glad Trump won. Feminist “crazy” reached astronomical heights, and Hillary would would have made it just unbearable.

  47. I wonder whether freetards will make a comeback now.

Generally, the mood on the internet is contrary to the supposed image of the current US-president.

When Bush was president, the internet was filled with “leftist”-associated annoyers (freetards, ultra annoying internet-atheists, SJW prototypes). During the Obama years, it started to switch gradually (/pol/, alt-right).

Tech got so boring, I yearn for freetards.

  48. we must get rid of gender itself — that is, the notions of “masculinity” and “femininity.”

It wasn’t too long ago when you’d be called a conspiracy nutter for claiming there was such a thing as a queer agenda.

I wonder what will happen to Alex Jones and lots of other “alternative media”. […] They basically gave up their bread and butter

For now, their metrics are fantastic. TYT, top of the left alternative media, is flagging. Other progressive YouTube outlets are also fairing poorly while the right leaning ones are doing well generally. I wouldn’t count Alex Jones out. He has the appearance of a loon but is really a skilled business man and propagandist.

When Bush was president, the internet was filled with “leftist”-associated annoyers (freetards, ultra annoying internet-atheists, SJW prototypes). During the Obama years, it started to switch gradually (/pol/, alt-right).

Sounds about right. Get ready for 4-8 years of “shoulda been Sanders” or whatever. Oh, and don’t forget about Project Chanology, Anonymous, and Occupy Wallstreet when thinking of leftist annoyers.

Don’t see how the return of these people makes tech interesting, though. That we’ve exhausted Moore’s law probably has more to do with it.

  49. we must get rid of gender itself — that is, the notions of “masculinity” and “femininity.”

How do you keep the “oppression” going without men?

I’ve just watched the women’s march coverage on TV and Alicia Keys was in in full-swing “fairer sex”-mode (“our bodies won’t be controlled by men in government!”).

That’s just too juicy to give up.

  50. It wasn’t too long ago when you’d be called a conspiracy nutter for claiming there was such a thing as a queer agenda.

Those people have an agenda against queers.

  51. It’s funny that these days all the individual letters of LGBTQIABBQWTF+ have more of a gripe against each other than the broader “society” has against them. It’s funny seeing the lesbians fighting with the gays fighting with the blacks fighting with the trannies. Of course they haven’t updated their rhetoric and white cismales are still the problem, somehow.

  52. You left out the prostitutes and porn actresses and Asian masseuses that SWERFs hate. Funny how their actions fit the term feminazi…

  53. That Exploit Guy

The illusion that nationalism is the same with imperialism

Nationalism is an illusion, mate. When was the last time the concept was presented to you without being followed by a sales pitch, a demand of favour or some feverish call to arms? I certainly can’t remember any such instance, and I have lived long enough to have watched the Soviet Union fall apart.

If your goal is to live your life having someone else telling you who the “others” are and whom you should fight to the bitter end on the basis of some silly, mostly imaginary narrative of a “nation”, that’s your prerogative. Just don’t try and sell me on the notion that it’s a smart thing to pursue, because, last time I checked, your jealous next-door neighbour had arguably more compelling motives to steal your plasma-screen TV than the Mexican family did living ten bus stops away, and he would be the one trying to convince you your plights originate with people with brown skin and not the fact that he’s a thieving, lying piece of scum.

But, heck, who knew the same trick used by European aristocracy to bolster their power would work so well at causing you to throw your money, your votes and your lives away without you ever questioning your own decision to do so?

And you thought they were exaggerating when they said there was a sucker born every minute.

It wasn’t too long ago when you’d be called a conspiracy nutter for claiming there was such a thing as a queer agenda.

Maybe people not wanting to be pigeonholed into some arbitrary categories at birth are really pushing an insidious agenda somehow instead of just making a case for their argument on the basis of their own life experiences, and chemicals in water are really “turning the freaking frogs gay”. I don’t know – after all, I am just a hairless primate with not much of a brain, and Alex Jones is a quite a spectacle to watch.

    Also, gay bomb:

  54. Biology it’s arbitrary.

  55. Biology is a social construct.

  56. ” (“our bodies won’t be controlled by men in government!”)

I dislike pro-lifers, but, after so many attempts by women to control children (using the “assumed caretaker” thing) and to control men (using threats of taking the children away and threats of expensive divorces), isn’t it poetic justice that women will have their bodies (aka their abortion rights) controlled by an orange man in the White House?

The era most men would fight for women rights is ending. Women expected they could pursue an openly confrontational attitude towards men and still have most men fight for their causes. Riight…

  57. isn’t it poetic justice that women will have their bodies (aka their abortion rights) controlled by an orange man in the White House?

You actually think that will happen? I’m expecting a lot of histrionics that end in the status quo. Which is to say that there will be a lot of bloviation over defunding Planned Parenthood (a complete bullshit move as abortions are already NOT funded by tax dollars), a few States making stupid laws that make life more difficult for poor people, and nothing of any real consequence from happening.

    Biology is a social construct.

How’s that philosophy degree working out for you?

  58. That Exploit Guy

    Biology it’s arbitrary.

And it’s apparently what you have studied bigly at Trump University as well.

Shame that the institute itself is nothing more than yet another American diploma mill run by a bunch of shysters.

  59. Don’t bring up hermaphrodites to fit your bullshit world view, they have enough problems without libtards butting in.

  60. That Exploit Guy

Don’t bring up hermaphrodites to fit your bullshit world view

I am sorry I brought up relevant facts a discussion without your prior approval. What’s your point again, by the way?

Oh, right, you didn’t have one! You just assumed “biology” (or any field of expertise for the matter) was somehow on your side without knowing if any of it was actually being the case. Why am I not surprised (aside from that I have been actively engaging with idiots such as you for more than two years now)?

  61. More people use linux on the desktop than are hermaphrodites. Something to think about as you are white knighting people you don’t care about.

  62. Looks like TEG isn’t the only faggot stupid enough to put stuff in temp:

  63. Anyone else annoyed by the fact most web frameworks and CMSes don’t have a global option to make your website not spill its guts on the client’s browser? The fact you have to manually catch errors instead of having a simple “production_mode” global option is a major help to hackers who can learn some internal info about the web app behind the site from such uncaught errors.

Most web frameworks suck, there I said it. With the exception of ASP.NET MVC, most web frameworks are an endless parade of bad design patterns, awful languages and plain bad choices. In fact, the worse a choice is, the more popular it is, such as putting lots of code in your html templates (aka PHP templates). Then you have JavaScript with redefined the == symbol from “check equality” to “do random casts and then check equality” and the myriad JavaScript frameworks and libraries which are always in a bleeding age stage and when they reach maturity they are considered too old and have to be abandoned and get replaced by something newer which is reassuringly bleeding edge and buggy. This is what happens when the freetards are in charge.

Maybe we should take a moment and thank Microsoft for the win32 API. If Microsoft hadn’t dominated computing, we ‘d consider messing with X-server resources as something normal, just like we take the mess that is web development as normal.

  64. You said most of them don’t Apparently some of them do. Why don’t people use those? BTW, what framework you think that website with the error was using?

  65. This is why I write websites in Bash. It is a easy programming language for compiling HTML code. ASP.NET MVC is a difficult programming lamguage but more powerful. And you have to master the Visual Studio framework.

  66. Wine 2.0 released !!!111eleventyone!

Did we get the WinXP 32bit support we were promised before 1.0? No. Direct 3D 9? No. Just a meaningless major version bump and some more partial implementations of some more APIs. Much like LibreOffice always promises better OOXML support in every version while WPS Office delivers. Or the eternal non-support for Blurays (even non-encrypted ones) by every FOSS media player out there, which is also “getting better” with every major release.

Meanwhile, features like the port of Wine to Windows, support for obscure document formats by LibreOffice and ultra-obscure filters and codecs for the media players are actively developed.

I wonder what will happen to FOSS-in-the-server-world now that there is no ponytailed Sun Microsystems CEO to fund the development of open-source projects so that paid professionals get to do the non-fun but much-needed stuff. Amazon having their own heavily modified version of MySQL and MariaDB for AWS, with a completely rewritten storage layer for much better performance when spread across multiple virtualized systems “in the cloud” (modifications which of course they don’t share with the FOSS world) is a major indication of where things are going.

  67. Gaming hardware may be keeping the PC market afloat

LOL, no shit. It’s a bizarre world where the tech press is years behind jokers on YouTube and social media.

  68. If women are the ‘fairer sex’ why do lesbian relationships have a higher rate of domestic violence than gay male relationships?

  69. Patriarchy hurts lesbians, too.

  70. Patriarchy hurts lesbians, too.

The heteronormative pressures the lesbian couple faces and the numerous daily microaggressions encountered in the modern patriarchal society, together result into the gradual buildup and internalization of bad feewings by each partner, which, under certain socieconomic conditions imposed by the modern capitalist and social-darwinist society may lead to hightened domestic violence amongst lesbian couples.

Aka, men are to blame and we must elect Clinton to shatter the plexiglass ceiling and get rid of the eeebil patriarchy.

Can I have a gender studies degree now?

  71. An interesting effect happens as people watch pornography. They become more egalitarian, and more supportive of women and men sharing roles and work, less accepting of gender-based discrimination. They also become more accepting of sexual diversity and less stigmatizing towards homosexuality. They become less religious, and may even experience more crises of faith. Enjoying porn leads to people changing their beliefs about sex and gender, and, in some cases, rejecting the dogmatically rigid sex/gender values they were taught in church. Our society is becoming less dogmatic about sex, more egalitarian, and more accepting of sexual diversity. Where our pain and struggles emerge from a conflict between these different sets of values, watching porn may in some cases lead to people being more accepting and less judgmental, both of themselves and others. This is why sex therapists are typically required to attend SARs (Sexual Attitude Reassessment seminars) where they are exposed to porn and sexual diversity, and forced to confront and examine their beliefs about the “right” kind of sex.

  72. The era most men would fight for women rights is ending. Women expected they could pursue an openly confrontational attitude towards men and still have most men fight for their causes. Riight…

    That's not the point.

The notion of "genderlessness" that some queeries push is the complete anti-thesis to men-bashing. If there's no gender anymore, there are also no men to blame and exploit.

Feminists will never give that up, never in a billion years. Unfortunately, lots of MRAs fixated on this bogey somehow and started to think that that's what "feminists" are truly after, which is complete BS. It's just one additional tool they use sometimes when convenient.

  73. there’s no gender anymore, there are also no men to blame and exploit.

Yeah, until marriage comes up or furniture needs to be moved. Then suddenly it’s “man up”.

It’s just one additional tool they use sometimes when convenient.

I realize you get it, but this doublespeak comes up everywhere. Even when you point it out to the brainwashed non-malevolent male supplicants they still can’t see it.
